You might have noticed that your students see the following message while waiting on the guest page for the online session to start:
BigBlueButton – Guest Lobby
Do you want to change the text to something more interesting? Or, show your branding?
Read on.
Edit /usr/share/meteor/bundle/programs/web.browser/app/locales/.json
- Look for app.guest.windowTitle and add your preferred text to change Guest lobby title.
- Look for app.guest.guestWait and add your preferred text to change the Guest lobby waiting message.
- Do the same for :
/usr/share/meteor/bundle/programs/web.browser.legacy/app/locales/<language-code>.json - Finally restart the bbb:
bbb-conf –restart

Now you would have a customized Guest page for your students to view, while waiting for the class to start.
